Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Business Solutions Analyst will be to assist in helping to implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way - gathering requirements, understanding business processes, proposing solutions, and working with teams internal and external to the business to implement those solutions. Additionally, ensuring accuracy of reporting for both operational and compliance concerns will be an important duty.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication (including technical writing skills), an understanding of systems engineering concepts, the ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis, business case development experience, experience with modeling techniques and methods, and leadership skills. The candidate must also possess mortgage industry experience, with a focus on the loan origination process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Eliciting and refining business requirements via interviews with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and via review of existing process documentation and other artifacts
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and recommending solutions
  • Evaluating process improvement requests and provided multiple solutions
  • Assisting with management of multiple, various projects
  • Maintain relationships with product vendors, understanding capabilities they offer, and clearly documenting that information
  • Effectively communicating across multiple teams
  • Defining best practices for project management and process improvement
  • Supporting cross-functional teams for planning, developing, testing, and implementing solutions
  • Mentoring other team members in the practice of business solutions analysis
Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mortgage origination industry
  • Willing to learn and apply basic federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, regulations, and statutes relevant to the mortgage origination industry
  • Strong work ethic
  • Working knowledge of loan processes and procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Minimum 4 years work experience in a professional office environment where data accuracy is essential
  • SQL (Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL) experience preferred
  • Jira experience preferred
