We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Acoustical Consultant who will be responsible for performing consulting and design services for the built environment. The position will require the active participation in managing several projects at one time, while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and top-quality work is being delivered to our customers. The consultant is ultimately responsible for getting the work product done and ensuring the acoustical scope is covered. This requires attention to detail and a desire to continuously improve processes, tools, and deliverables. The practice's customers are both internal and external to the organization. Internally, your clients include project managers and project executives who are responsible for projects as a whole, as well as other consultants who you will coordinate with towards a cohesive building design. Externally, our customers include architects, builders, and owners in sectors that include Civic, Healthcare, Higher Education, Government, K-12, and Workplace.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for architectural acoustics, room-to-room isolation and building systems noise control.
  • Establish acoustical criteria based on Owner's specific needs
  • Reviewing Architectural and MEP drawings for conformance with acoustical criteria
  • Take mechanical and /or architectural designs into modelling software to ascertain criteria such as RT60 and NC
  • Use data from modeling software to make recommendations to maximize design options
Qualified Candidates Preferably Possess:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture
  • 2-4 years of prior work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Revit software
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, and good verbal, interpersonal and writing skills
  • Working knowledge of audiovisual or other low-voltage building systems
