The Housekeeping Technician reports to the Facilities Supervisor and is responsible to clean and maintain our campus to make sure that it meets any housekeeping sanitation requirements and provides a comfortable and safe space for associates to work.
On a daily basis our Housekeeping Technician:
- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
- Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, tables, countertops, and sinks.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area.
- Cleaning windows.
- Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs.
- Sweeping/vacuuming and mopping hard floors.
- Clean tile at all properties.
- Shampoo carpets .
- Safely use cleaning materials to properly clean and sanitize.
- Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools.
- Keeping bathrooms stocked with supplies.
- Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces.
- Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste.
- Monitoring cleaning supplies and notifying supervisor when more is needed.
- Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements.
- Follow directions from supervisor, complete tasks in a safe manner.
- Report all safety hazards / concerns to supervisor.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
- 1-2 years of housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience in cleaning and sanitizing rooms to varying levels to meet requirements.
- Learn new cleaning methods and how to use various pieces of equipment.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate needs.
- Open to feedback, good listening and customer service skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
