Reports to: Director of Student Information Systems

Work Year: 226 days
Base Salary: Actual salary will be calculated based on experience.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Information Systems Program Analyst II will support production environment process applications of various enterprise technology systems and platforms, as well as secondary database support designated by the District database administrator. This position is responsible for providing advanced strategic technical assistance, professional assessment, and process analysis using data-driven insights to improve the functionality, efficiency, and effectiveness of operational technology initiatives or to develop new initiatives to meet mission-critical needs.
The Analyst will work directly with organizational leadership and end-users to identify scheduling limitations, gather requirements, assess current processes and procedures, define manual processes or system problems to automate through workflows, and recommend improvements in existing systems or processes, in an effort to utilize cross-functional enabling technologies, process automation and data reporting metrics. Responsibilities may include system security access management, problem resolution, custom report development, user support, and the implementation of new solutions such as data validation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree or demonstrable equivalent
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Skill in leading large-scale district initiatives
Proficient in ETL processes
Proficient in using Microsoft Office including Excel to analyze data
Proficient with markup languages including HTML, XML, and CSS
Proficient with W3C standards and browser/platform compatibility issues
Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
Proficient with object oriented programming concepts
Familiar with graphical reporting tools
Proficient in development methodologies
Ability to leverage analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to processes and data analysis
Strong relationship management skills
Highly developed project/program management and change management skills
Understanding of business planning methods
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience:
7 years of work experience in technology systems support
5 years of work experience in enterprise content management software, process automation,
workflow and forms technologies
5 years of work experience with database management applications, database servers, and application tier servers
5 years of work experience in K-12 public education
5 years of work experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
5 years of work experience in server automation including task scheduling and jobs
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Maintain workflow and form processes to support business process improvement and automation.
Act as the backup resource for the District's database administrator.
Provide production support for the various business technology systems and platforms.
Work directly with various organizational leaders to improve the productivity of cross-functional enabling business technologies.
Design, develop, and/or maintain custom reports.
Support identification, design, and implementation of various technology process improvements.
Support systems security access management.
Support the implementation of business technology strategies to promote organizational effectiveness.
Maintain cooperative work relationships between enterprise systems and technology platforms to ensure the best overall solutions and designs.
Support process to develop business plans and proactively identify new opportunities.
Contribute to proactive business planning activities and priority projects.
Complete special projects, as required.
