SUMMARY

To effectively coach and lead Agile teams in delivery of high-quality solutions while emphasizing collaboration, team self-management, and ensuring flexibility to adapt to the Agile principles to achieve the business goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 45% Day to day support - Leads and fosters communication and collaboration amongst the team and stakeholders and effectively coaches team to be self-organizing and cross functional. Leads teams change through challenging the status quo and motivating others to deliver on commitments and think creatively.
  • 20% Collaborates with the Product Owner and the Team to successfully complete committed user stories and ensures quality deliverables of incremental working software that is of the highest priority. Facilitates sprint ceremonies ensuring agile principles are embraced and adhered to. Inspects and adapts after each sprint to support continuous team improvement.
  • 10% Reports and Metrics - Creates and maintains metrics and artifacts such as sprint health, velocity, and sprint burn ups in order to support release planning and strategic long term planning.
  • 10% Project management - Utilizes meetings and other forms of communication to identify, track, and remove impediments while minimizing various organizational distractions and interferences. Communicates and updates teams and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with project priorities.
  • 10% Documentation and Training - Create and maintain documentation and conduct end user training. Educate users in workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by system. Assesses Agile maturity of the team and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity to achieve goals and drive teams to be high performing
  • 5% Advanced Support - Support other team members by providing industry expertise on difficult and complex issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with business partners to scope and define requirements for Data Insights solutions and lead teams through execution leveraging Agile & scrum methodology.
  • Coordinating team's work utilizing Agile format including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence of communication. Hold team accountable to following standardized processes and team norms.
  • Leverage Data Analytics and Project Management skill set to help the team define work to be done (story writing), acceptance criteria, schedule/timing, effort estimates (pointing), and sprint plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Stakeholders to ensure work priorities are defined, agreed upon, and align with business priorities. Work with many areas of the business, IT, and Agile team leaders to ensure alignment to priorities and manage resource dependencies.
  • Utilize leadership, influence, and communication skills to address roadblocks preventing the team from completing planned work.
  • Demonstrate expertise of Agile development, Agile methodologies (i.e. SCRUM, KanBan) and related best practices required.
  • Demonstrate communication skills in both oral and written formats to increase understanding regardless of audiences, technical abilities, or status within the organization. Actively listens to gain information, increase understanding, and build relationships. Maintains transparency with information and knowledge to ensure work is completed efficiently.
  • Must be able to facilitate discussion that represents all perspectives of a situation and bring the group to consensus to move forward in united direction. Must negotiate and mitigate conflict in a professional manner.
  • Thorough understanding of technology and business. Ability to apply knowledge into work product. Proven ability to analyze technical information, evaluate products, services, and vendors, and make recommendations based on goals of project and organization.
  • Ability to plan and organize time to be successful in environment of multiple deadlines and interruptions. Must be able to motivate others and reach success through their accomplishments. Must be able to respond and adjust to dynamic requirements, processes, and resources.
  • Must have the ability to analyze data and team engagement patterns to identify areas of waste, allowing the team to visualize their work, reducing the overall waste in development processes.
  • Assist the team in problem solving as needed.
  • Prepare and monitoring reports and metrics.
  • Provide training as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years related functional experience.

Technical / functional skills (includes computer skills): Jira, MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Certifications or licenses: In role - Agile Project Management Certification, Certified Scrum Master

Travel expected: up to 25% on an as-needed basis to help coordinate projects across Pella Operations
