Basic Purpose Basic Purpose

The End Market Manager, develops and implements a business plan to identify growth opportunities. The role will work closely with PLM, marketing, technical team, and the commercial team to ensure alignment of the overall business plan and strategy. Additionally, the role will be responsible for monitoring progress and providing regular reporting on performance.

The role is accountable for successfully growing the specified end markets.

Key financial objectives include volume growth, business operating profit, revenue, gross profit, end market growth.

Description of Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop Strategy to grow end market, to include key applications to target, supplier/product portfolio mix needed, supporting material/tools required for technical and commercial teams, collaboration on marketing efforts both digital and traditional methods to drive awareness, leveraging of databases to create targeted lists for sales campaigns, industry connections such as tradeshows, etc.
  • Primary interface with supplier's market management team to ensure alignment on strategy, promotion, and applications.
  • Understanding competition, identify SWOT, positioning Nexeo to win.
  • Outline targets by region, set plan, and work with the regional commercial and technical teams.
  • Guiding Sales Opportunities: Understands the Nexeo sales process and customer's business, and works to maximize sales though growing the pipeline in strategic markets, and growing volume/GM.
  • Developing Trusting Relationships: Builds and maintains collaborative, cohesive, trusting environment with coworkers.
  • Drive for Results: Builds culture of accountability within cross functional team.
  • Manages Change / Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility in response to changing customer needs and coworkers needs.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 - 10+ years product line managment, marketing, and sales experience in plastics
  • Knowledge of the products, processes, applications, and regulatory requirements of the Healthcare and electrical and electronics
  • Development of successful marketing strategies
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce.com and Outlook is a plus
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing to travel 30%+
