Job Summary
The Associate Health LVN is responsible for ongoing implementation and maintenance of the CHOC Associate Health Programs to include front and back office responsibilities. Partners with Human Resources and contracted clinics on clearing of new hires/volunteers/contractors. Partners with Infection Control to provide case management of exposures and coordination of hospital-wide immunization programs, compliance programs and medical surveillance programs in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures. Partners with Safety Officer and management to review work related incidents and identify needs to reduce number/ impact of incidents.

Pay Range
Minimum $30.33 Midpoint $40.19 Maximum $50.05

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum 6 months LVN experience.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Vocational Nursing.

Training

• Required: None required.

Specialized Skills

• Required: Knowledge and ability to provide age appropriate patient care and cultural and spiritual needs. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; understand and exceed customer expectations; effectively solve complex patient care and organizational problems; role model positive and professional behavior. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.

• Preferred: Bilingual in English/ Spanish both written and verbal.

Licensure

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Licensed Vocational Nurse - CA (LVN);

• Preferred: Ped Emerg Assess Recog & Stabil (PEARS)

Work Environments - Functional Demand:
Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
