JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Staff Physical Therapist will organize and conduct a medically prescribed physical therapy program to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; and help of the patient reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
  • Synthesize available data on a patient (obtained from physical examination and history) to generate a written evaluation and plan of care within 24 hours of patient encounter.
  • Provide physical therapy interventions aligned with current evidence with goal of meeting or exceeding the National Benchmarks for functional improvement. (Based on Focus on therapeutic outcomes (FOTO) scores)
  • Accurately documents physical therapy treatments for each patient with charges generated and notes being locked by midnight the day of the patient encounter.
  • Demonstrates all APTA values associated with professionalism: Accountability, Altruism, Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, Professional Duty, Social Responsibility.
  • Communicates (interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic) with patients, co-workers, and the public in a manner that upholds
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
  • Preferred two years' experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist.
Education
  • Doctorate in physical therapy with 10 years experience
  • Masters degree with 5 years experience
Licensure/Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
  • ACLS/BLS - American Heart Association
Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
