API Business Analyst

  • Closely work with external parties to understand business needs and requirements as they relate to various integrations.
  • Work with technical team to design a solution that best fits business needs.
  • Translate business needs into requirements for different teams to implement.
  • Work with the Project Management team, Business Analyst team, Technical Leads, internal development teams and operations teams to successfully implement the requirements.
  • Work with internal and external testing teams to verify the solution and obtain final signoffs.
  • Coordinate delivery of final solution to production.
  • Own and maintain existing integrations to support changing business requirements.
  • Act as integration subject matter expert to technical teams.
  • Provide guidance and make decisions on changes required throughout the design process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (i.e. Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
Skills/ Experience Required
  • Previous experience in developing and/or implementing REST APIs
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization.
  • Self-starter with strong analysis, communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Competent in Jira, and Confluence desired.
  • Works as an integral part of a talented, accountable, and driven team in a fast-paced, proactive environment. Comfortable with managing and prioritizing a backlog of user stories.
  • Understand Agile development methodologies and planning tools to assist other business analyst with project deliverables.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments; when appropriate.
Equipment and Work Environment
  • Equipment: PC and various software applications
  • General Office Environment, No physical demands required.
  • Ability to work longer hours on limited occasions.
