Your Role:

The Ecommerce Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the company's online sales channels. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ecommerce platform, collaborating with Marketing and Merchandising to drive online sales through effective digital marketing strategies, and enhancing the overall user experience on the website. The preferred candidate will have a strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, SEO, SEM, and data analysis

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Website Management:
    • Maintain and update the eCommerce website, ensuring it is user-friendly and optimized for conversions.
    • Collaborate with web developers to resolve technical issues and implement new features.
    • Manage and optimize product listings, including descriptions, images, pricing, and stock availability.
    • Ensure accurate and compelling product content to drive sales and improve search rankings.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising on SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
    • Collaborate on SEM campaigns, including keyword research, keyword strategy, and performance tracking.
  • Marketplace Management:
    • Manage and optimize our presence across various online marketplaces, including but not limited to Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and GunBroker.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for each marketplace to drive sales and achieve business objectives.
    • Stay updated with marketplace trends, policies, and algorithm changes to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Create, optimize, and manage product listings to ensure they are compelling, accurate, and SEO-friendly.
    • Regularly update product information, images, pricing, and inventory levels across all marketplaces.
    • Coordinate with the supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely order fulfillment.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring no overstock or stockouts, and utilize automated tools where applicable.
    • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
    • Utilize analytics tools to gain insights and drive continuous improvement in marketplace performance.
    • Ensure compliance with each marketplace's policies, guidelines, and best practices.
    • Address and resolve any issues related to policy violations, account health, and performance standards.
    • Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align marketplace activities with broader business goals.
  • User Experience (UX):
    • Collaborate closely with the UX Specialist to optimize the online shopping experience and drive sales growth. Merge data-driven e-commerce strategies with user-centered design principles to create engaging, seamless, and effective digital storefronts, popups, website content, and more.
    • Collaborate with the UX Specialist to define and align e-commerce goals with user experience objectives.
    • Partner in the design process, providing e-commerce insights to inform wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
    • Ensure that design elements support e-commerce best practices, including SEO optimization, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze website and sales data to identify trends, measure performance, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to management.
    • Work together with the Marketing Associates to analyze user data, including behavioral patterns, sales metrics, and customer feedback.
    • Conduct and review user research, such as surveys, usability tests, and A/B testing, to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service:
    • Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve online order issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Gather customer feedback to inform website improvements.
    • Facilitate clear communication between marketing, design, development, and customer service teams to ensure a unified approach to ecommerce and UX initiatives.


Requirements
    • Associates degree with courses in business administration, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 2-3 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
    • Proven experience as an ecommerce Specialist or in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, woocommerce).
    • Strong understanding of SEO and SEM practices.
    • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
    • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and A/B testing.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
    • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
