Job Requirements

Sr. Business Analyst - Applications/Software Development with Oil & Gas Experience

Location: Remote
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding State holidays).
Duration: 01/02/2025 to 08/31/2025.

Pay rate: 85.00/hr.

Are you ready to lead transformative technology projects in a critical industry? We're looking for a seasoned Sr. Business Analyst with robust experience in applications and software development, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector - to join our Client's ITS Division. This role is your opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking work as part of the Mainframe Transformation Program, tackling complex and dynamic challenges.

In this senior-level Business Analyst role, you'll drive projects at the forefront of emerging technology, including SaaS/COTS implementations, data migrations from mainframes, and the creation of a Data Warehouse. You'll leverage your expertise to gather, develop, and document intricate requirements, reimagine business processes, and validate user acceptance testing, ensuring projects align with high-quality business analysis standards.

This is more than a job; it's a chance to lead from the front. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, manage diverse stakeholders, and operate with considerable latitude for independent judgment. Whether it's facilitating interactive workshops, analyzing production support issues, or leading change initiatives, your expertise will shape our clients' success.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8+ years in business analysis for software development projects, including hands-on requirements elicitation, client management, and technical documentation.
  • Proven proficiency with tools like Visio, SnagIt, and the MS Office suite.
  • Deep understanding of production support, root cause analysis, and data/system corrections.
  • Expertise in functional design, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with mainframe environments, SQL, Salesforce, and process improvement strategies.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry or compliance/enforcement-related projects.
