Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refers for specialty care when determined.
- Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program required
- At least one year of experience post Physician Assistant training strongly preferred.
- Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
- Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission required upon hire
- Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required

Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
Pay Range
Pay Range: $55.24 to $76.43 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.Benefit Summary
