Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Senior Azure Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
This role requires extensive experience in data engineering, a deep understanding of Azure services, and a proven ability to lead complex data projects.
The ideal candidate will have 13+ years of experience in data engineering, with a significant portion of that time focused on Azure technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures on the Azure platform.

Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from multiple sources into a unified data warehouse.

Optimize and troubleshoot data processing and storage to ensure high performance and reliability.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.

Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Lead and mentor junior data engineers, providing guidance and expertise to enhance the team's capabilities.

Stay current with the latest developments in Azure data services and related technologies.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 13 years in data engineering, with at least 5 years of experience working with Azure data services.

Skills:

Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and other Azure data services.

Strong experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.

Expertise in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala.

Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop.

Knowledge of data security and governance best practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
