As a Director of Medical Surgical Services, you will take charge of overseeing the daily operations and management of the Medical/Surgical department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will lead and support nursing staff, manage schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
In this role, you will also handle departmental resources, manage budgets, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. You'll be pivotal in developing and implementing policies, addressing patient and staff concerns, and driving quality improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in a similar unit
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience preferred
- Licenses/Certificates:
- IL Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire
- ACLS & PALS required by the end of the month following hire
