Summary of Position:
The RN Educator designs, implements, coordinates, and evaluates educational programs which facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency attainment for Summa Health System employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Formal Education Required:
- Masters Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field OR.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in Masters Degree program.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Experience and Training Required:
- Three (3) years professional RN experience.
- One (1) year experience in education of adults.
- Current status as American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider, Instructor status preferred.
- Other Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary personnel, Medical Staff, and community representatives.
- Ability to use computer and audiovisual equipment.
- Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
- Level of Physical Demands:
- Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
