Marathon TS is seeking a SATCOM Manager to support a client in Tysons, VA. The ideal candidate will lead End-to-End satellite communications solutions design efforts including designing key elements of the solution, evaluating technical options, and leading cross-functional teams towards a final solution while keeping all of the company's key stakeholders apprised, as the opportunity proceeds through the capture/proposal gates.

Responsibilities Include:
• Develop End-to-End solutions development to include system-level optimization across SATCOM and IP layers, to match customer requirements.
• Review, edit and refine outlines, storyboards, technical proposals (text and graphics) - ensure clarity, conformance, consistency, and completeness but go beyond it to make for a compelling narrative.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Intelsat and 3rd-party satellite assets (including LEO and GEO) network infrastructure and product/service offerings.
• Conduct Market Research and Competitive Intelligence studies including supporting business case development.
• Review engineering solutions for accuracy and compliance
• Work with engineering to ensure compliance of proposed solution.
• Ability to drill down into the details, dependencies and implications while being cognizant of/and working towards big-picture aspects of the proposal.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (an equivalent combination of relevant education, military service and/or experience will be considered)
• Intimate familiarity with the satellite and communications industry, technology, community and market • Possess SATCOM engineering knowledge through a combination of formal certifications and hands-on experience - as it relates to optimizing MicroSATs, Land-Mobile (COTM) and Aero ISR networks.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite in support of large, complex capture and proposal efforts as well as to routinely create, edit and publish documents.

• System engineering background in satellite or Telecom industry
