Specialty Representative

Growing Home Infusion Company seeks exceptional Specialty Representative to grow our Westchester, Dutchess, and Putnam territories.

Job Summary:

The Specialty Representative is responsible for generating Specialty infusion patient referrals. (Gammagard, Gamunex, Hizentra, etc.) The representative will provide cross functional collaboration with pharmacy, intake, nursing, and operations while working closely with physicians, doctors’ offices, nurses, or coordinators. We are seeking an individual who has a strong foundation and ability to serve as a patient care advocate and facilitates the coordination of the patients care.

The representative will create, develop, and maintain relationships which generate referrals reflective of UHC’s mission and in line with prevailing clinical standards for all service lines.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A four-year college degree, preferably in business or health care related fields or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Minimum of two years sales or homecare infusion experience, with a proven track record.
  • Sales and marketing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of home medical and infusion reimbursement preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required.
Work Environment:
  • Travel in the community at large.
  • Hazards include risk of exposure to blood borne and airborne pathogens.
  • Possible exposure to traffic hazards and poor road conditions
Performance Requirements:
  • Create, develop, and maintain ongoing relationships with physicians, doctor offices, SNF, ALF, and home health companies.
  • Coordinate all needs to transition patient to alternate site by working with all healthcare providers including referring physician and patient, office managers, nurses, etc. to ensure a seamless discharge process.
  • Conduct initial infusion set-up and patient/caregiver training on our therapy services and technology.
  • Serve as patient advocate and conduit to company while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Communicates with clinical, reimbursement, operational and management personnel at Upstate homecare as required to support all areas to ensure effective customer service and sales development.
  • Display expertise in local markets (competition, payors, therapies) as well as various disease states relevant to Upstate Homecare therapies.
  • Maintain and grow specialty therapy admission through customer relationships and provide responsive customer service within assigned territory.
  • Responsible for the achievement of net revenue and profit objectives.
  • Provide sales support to targeted accounts by coordinating services, evaluating current and new business opportunities.
Experience:
