As a Mortgage Loan Processor at Mercantile Bank, you will play a key role in supporting 3-6 Loan Officers by overseeing the production of mortgage files from application to closing. Your responsibilities will include ordering, obtaining, and validating various documents critical to the loan process, ensuring regulatory timelines are met, and collaborating with customers and Loan Officers to collect necessary documentation. Your expertise in understanding Portfolio, secondary market, and investor guidelines will be essential as you submit loans through an Automated Underwriting System, analyze findings, and clear basic underwriting conditions. With your proficiency in the Bank's Loan Origination System and other tools, you will assist in resolving loan file exceptions and obtaining final loan approvals.
