We are hiring a Fullstack Software Engineering Manager to our Wellz team in Brazil The Wellz team is responsible for developing our online mental health care product, developing scalable and disruptive features that will sustain our ambition to give every user the best mental health care journey. Wellz is part of the New Ventures Focus Area, and here we are developing products and solutions that improve Wellhub’s offer diversity and strengthen our commitment to our users’ and clients’ wellbeing. We build on new product ideas, validate them, get data and make decisions quickly YOUR IMPACT Lead a team of highly autonomous, proactive and motivated engineers; Drive critical projects from the architectural design to implementation; Plan the capacity of your team to handle the product roadmap; Be ready to negotiate with your team always basing your thoughts on well-founded arguments; Periodically monitor and own your team’s health; Promote a highly psychologically safe environment which welcomes ideas and different points of view; Address code complexity avoiding its growth, keeping everything as simple as possible; Write and deliver code that enhances overall company quality standards; Plan and successfully deliver cross team projects; Avoid the execution of all-in projects, being able to break them down in smaller viable launches; Propose solution options to the problems presented by stakeholders and product manager; Provide estimates on efforts and risks, evaluating technical feasibility on cross-functional high-impact projects; Execute waves of architectural changes in the focus area to improve outcome, and efficiency and to reduce costs for product improvements; Help establish a roadmap and long-term vision in partnership with PMs and PDs; Contribute to work and projects to help establish company-wide best practices; Live the mission: inspire and empower others by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and your colleagues. Main requirements WHO YOU ARE Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience; Experienced in designing and developing complex modern web applications; Experience with backend stacks such as Golang and/ or NodeJs, and frontend with React; Experience in developing RESTful APIs in collaboration with other teams; Experienced in Cloud-based architectures (AWS / GCP); You have experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, async programming and complexity analysis; You are proficient in automated testing and apply it on a daily basis; You seek to have the highest quality in your products, considering user experience as well as systems' cost, maintainability, availability and resilience; You value facts and data on your decision-making process; You have experience working with modern agile product development teams; You help your team to collaborate within and with other teams; You lead by example and are seen by others as an inspiring leader; You have strong communication skills, both in English and Portuguese; You create bridges with other teams and key stakeholders, being able to loop the right people to unblock your team and acquire data and knowledge to take decisions; You can balance very well your responsibilities and your well-being, and advise your team to do the same.
