Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or 18 semester hours in early childhood coursework preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience working with children and families is highly desirable
  • Registered with the Arkansas Professional Development Registry (PDR) or willingness to complete registration
  • Complete a minimum of 15 hours of in-service training or approved workshop training annually
  • Proficient in using computers and office equipment
Job Summary:Discover a rewarding career at ARcare. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and child-focused Childcare Professional (CP) to join the ARcare childcare team. In this role, you will provide daily care, safety, and education to children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. Responsibilities include implementing age-appropriate lessons, fostering developmental growth, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment. The CP will partner with families and collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and nurturing space for children to thrive.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for early childhood education, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to fostering the holistic development of children. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively while making a meaningful impact on children's lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement curriculum and activities that support children's developmental growth and school readiness
  • Create a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate environment
  • Develop positive and meaningful interactions with children during everyday routines
  • Partner with families to support the unique developmental needs of each child
  • Model and guide children in developing social and self-help skills
  • Communicate daily with families about their child's experiences and progress
  • Assist in upholding high standards for safety, health, and program quality to maintain Better Beginnings tier standards
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and timesheets
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

  • Knowledge of child development principles and early learning best practices
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of children and the childcare center
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and squatting
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Use of vision, sound, and touch required for supervision and caregiving
