Job Title: Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology Job Specialty: Radiation Therapy Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in Radiation Oncology; 5 years preferred License: ARRT Licensure; No State Licensure required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Experience with Accuray Tomotherapy HI.ART and Elekta Infinity Job Description: - Perform radiation therapy procedures on an outpatient and inpatient basis.- Treat a wide range of cancer types, including lung, breast, brain, head/neck, GYN, metastatic disease, and lymphomas.- Collaborate with a healthcare team, including medical physicists, dosimetrists, oncologists, and nurses.- Maintain a patient ratio of 2:1 per treatment machine or 1:1 for CT simulation.- Utilize skills such as stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and tomotherapy.- Preferred experience with CT Simulation and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT).- Utilize charting systems like Epic and Mosaiq.- May occasionally assist with departmental support, always paired with another therapist.- Adhere to steel grey scrub attire as dress code. Additional Information: - Orientation involves two days of online training and an initial day with the Supervisor.- Shift times are from 08:00 to 16:30, with no weekend or holiday rotations and no on-call requirement.- Opportunity to take up to 7 days off, extending the contract to accommodate a full 13-week period.
