Senior Financial Analyst

Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Senior Financial Analyst to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

This position will serve as a Senior Finance Analyst at Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing Company. The Senior Finance Analyst is an integral part of the program team and works closely with the other team members to provide meaningful, accurate, and timely cost and schedule performance management information to the CAMs, PM, and Senior Leaders, so decisions can be made with the best information available. They are responsible for the execution phase of the program lifecycle, providing deliverables on-time and with First Time Quality. This is an on-site position with occasional opportunities for telecommuting at the Manassas, Virginia location.

Responsibilities:

  • Create positive relationships by maintaining open, honest, and candid communication.

  • Reviews Program Contract documents to understand the financial requirements and ensures compliance.

  • Initiates assignments and leads integration and analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs.

  • Develops performance management reports.

  • Initiates assignments and leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management.

  • Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience.

  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends. Leads development of business cases using appropriate indices.

  • Provides subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root cause and recommend solutions.

  • Mentors and assists other members of the team.

  • Supports Financial Planning team with Long Range Business Plan and monthly program forecast development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Must be a U.S. Person

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Boeing Estimate at Complete Process

  • Experience with Deltek Cobra

  • Earned Value Management Experience

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to support occasional travel (Up to 10%)

  • Work onsite in Manassas, VA on a hybrid schedule, with some remote work permitted

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $88,000.00 to $157,000.00

  • Maximum Range: $88,000.00 to $157,000.00
