This Dialysis Technician will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in setting up and disconnecting the dialysis equipment
  • Monitoring and operating of dialysis equipment while in use
  • Preparing the treatment spaces in between patients and assembles necessary supplies
  • Monitoring patient vital signs during treatment, responding appropriately to visual and audible alarms and reports any unusual findings to the nurse
  • Accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment including completion of Hemodialysis Treatment Flowsheet
  • Reporting any significant information and or change in patient condition directly to the nurse
  • Cleaning and disinfecting dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment and surrounding area between treatments, maintaining a clean and aseptic environment according to facility policy. Ensuring that all blood spills are immediately cleaned with appropriate disinfectant according to policy
  • Assisting in maintenance of Dialysis equipment including monthly water testing. Testing and monitoring machine functions, including alarms, conductivity, and temperature
  • Assisting in supply management within the Dialysis unit
  • Performing clerical and other miscellaneous duties as assigned, (i.e. collects patient information, etc.)

To qualify, you must have:

  • A high school level of educational development or completion of GED
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
  • Meet necessary requirements of Ishihara's Color Blindness test
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)
  • Current CPR Certification

Schedule Information: 4 - 10-hour shifts, Monday-Saturday
Shift Information: 6AM-4:30PM
