https://engineering.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The MUSiC Facility Senior Process Engineer will be primarily responsible for the creation of processes and integration of those processes into the Multi-User Silicon Carbide Research and Fabrication Facility (MUSiC Fab) at the University of Arkansas. Initially, this will be done in the temporary MUSiC fab, and these processes will be transferred to the tools in the permanent MUSiC fab. This position will support the research intended to develop low volume production and R&D prototyping for purposes of advancing the state of the art as well as being compatible with the needs of industrial advancement in the field. This is a multidisciplinary position that covers several processing modules and must work with other functional areas such as integration and product development. This position will answer directly to the MUSiC Program Manager.This job will require the supervision of employees as the MUSiC team grows.

Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Chemical Engineeringor related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least five years of semiconductor experience in any of the following: process engineering: photolithography, thin film, wet process, diffusion, ion implantation, dry etch; quality; yield enhancement; integration
Experience identifying and resolving issues using FMEA or 8D
Supervised processes to ensure quality output
3 years in supervisory role
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
M.S. in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Chemical Engineeringor related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least 10 years of industry experience having multi-disciplinary responsibilities in areas such as process integration and process development engineering
Have collaboratively worked with and have a good working knowledge of all areas of unit processing
Strong knowledge in photolithography processing in an industrial setting
Will have worked with equipment maintenance and have knowledge of the tools such that tools and processes are qualified when in production mode.
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
