About the job Nurse Practitioner Travel

Central Health Management is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our client's healthcare team on a travel basis, serving various locations in Virginia and North Carolina. As a Travel NP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, diagnosing medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals within our facilities. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions for patients of varying age groups.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies, to aid in accurate diagnoses.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and other medical interventions as appropriate for patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventative care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in case conferences, rounds, and departmental meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Adhere to established infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and ethical standards in healthcare delivery.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical practices, technologies, and evidence-based care through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or in a relevant specialty.
  • Minimum of [1] year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, changing healthcare landscape.
  • Flexibility to travel between different facilities in North Carolina.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
