The technician ensures that the procedures are kept current and initiates charges when appropriate. What You'll Do: Accurately assembles trays, single instruments, and other items in accordance with manufacturer instructions and departmental policies. Inspects instrumentation and equipment to ensure cleanliness, sharpness, and in good working order. Monitors biological and chemical testing and records results. Follows up on positive biological. Accurately disassembles, sorts, soaks, and decontaminates instruments/equipment to prepare for terminal sterilization following established procedures. Picks and wands instrumentation/equipment needed for surgical cases and assembles case carts on a routine and emergent basis. Prioritizes cases to ensure no procedure delays occur. Checks in and wands unused supplies for completed cases and ensures charges are generated and all necessary paperwork is completed. Receives and dispatches phone calls from the Operating Room(s) and greets and directs persons with inquiries. Qualifications Education: High school education or equivalent Licensure: Central Service Technician Certificate or may obtain this certification within 2 years of employment. Experience: Prefer experience in Medical field Pay Range $15.51 - $20.75 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
