Cardiology Nurse
Responsibilities:
- Assess, coordinate, and manage patient care throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge
- Deliver and coordinate patient care provided by the caregiving team
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care rendered
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Prior experience as a PCA or nursing assistant preferred
- Ability to improve job performance through continuing education
