Job Description/ Responsibilities
Knowledge on DFSMS (DFSMShsm / DFSMSdss), Flashcopy, ICF Catalogs, HCD Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures Experience with system indicators (logs, dumps, error) logs for pro-active management of system problems Hardware knowledge on large-scale hardware vendors (IBM, Brocade, Cisco) Experience in managing IBM (DS8000) storage including replication monitoring Experience with IBM Virtual Tape Management Systems (VTS) including replication monitoring Experience/knowledge of parallel sysplex (GDPS), Catalog management, IBM system utilities Administer 3rd-party storage systems software Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software product suite On-call rotation / weekend work required
