Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development to assess and interpret data for identifying age-specific needs.
  • Provide leadership and coordination of quality patient care, fostering therapeutic relationships and active treatment.
  • Administer medications and oversee the medication room, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations.
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment and carry out nursing care recommendations and orders.
  • Serve as a shift leader when assigned, making work assignments for direct care staff and providing oversight to subordinate nursing staff.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide care/treatment as ordered by medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring adherence to hospital or facility protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the Nursing Department.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Kansas LPN license/temporary permit or have authorization to practice by the Kansas State Board of Nursing upon onboarding.
  • Minimum of 1 year of practical nursing experience.
  • Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
