Precertification Specialist

Columbus Oncology and Hematology Associates is currently searching for a talented individual to join our prior authorization team. The primary responsibility of the Precertification Specialist is to obtain prior authorizations for services ordered by our healthcare providers.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare business office setting with working knowledge of the prior authorization process
• Detailed understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding and medical terminology
• Familiarity in oncology and/or NextGen is highly desirable
• Familiar with NCCN Guidelines pertaining to Medical Necessity 
• Experience in oncology preferred, but not required
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and outstanding customer service skills.
