Job Description:

The Tableau Analyst role is within the Business Intelligence group and part of the Technology team. The Tableau Analyst will create, maintain, and support data visualizations (dashboards) that enable users to analyze and report on their data.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create interactive visualizations and dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server to communicate data clearly to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Develop, design, troubleshoot, validate, deploy, monitor, improve, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Validates the accuracy of Tableau reports and dashboards by ensuring they present the same numbers and information that are in source reports and other systems.
  • Identify patterns and meaningful insights from data through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Connect Tableau to various data sources using individual tables as well as joins and data blending.
  • Use other programs to support dashboard development, including core business systems and online tools.
  • Transform, clean, and manipulate data based on various requirements.
  • Create reference documentation detailing how dashboards work and explaining how to use them.
  • Conduct training sessions showing cross-functional team members how to use dashboards.
  • Work with internal customers to understand, analyze, and refine the application requirements to create working dashboards.
  • Support both routine and special projects.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and partners to transform data into actionable intelligence through graphics and analytics.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations with animations.
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server administration.
  • Experience with SQL and database management systems.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of Tableau functionalities such as hierarchies, filters, calculated fields, sets, groups, parameters, dashboard actions, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid background in Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
  • US citizenship or authorization to work in the US is required.
  • Commercial real estate background would be preferred.
  • Familiarity with Financial data would be preferred.
  • Willing to work in the Richfield, OH, office one or more days per week.
