  • Patient care: Assisting patients with daily activities like eating, dressing, and bathing, administering medication and injections, and providing emotional support
  • Patient records: Maintaining patient records, including recording vital signs and history
  • Patient care planning: Developing care plans and taking part in patient care planning
  • Communication: Communicating with patients, family members, and other caretakers, including explaining treatments and procedures
  • Other tasks: Applying and changing bandages, collecting samples for lab testing, moving patients between beds, wheelchairs, and gurneys, and preparing patients for discharge or transfers
