Description:

Application Scalability and Performance Architect, with a strong background in architecting and deploying WebScale IT solutions. Should be able to work across technology stack, define, recommend, review and validate solutions for projects in different phases of development to support desired scalability and optimized performance. Should have worked across, cloud and on-premises solutions on various open source and vendor-specific technology stacks. Looking for a Hands-on profile with 8-12 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

• Define the performance and scalability standards with implementation recommendations for different types of solutions

• Defend the standards and recommendations and get accreditation from industry certification authorities and Our Client corporate technology board

• Work across different phases of various solution to provide the application scalability and desired performance recommendations and guide, work with engineering teams towards implementation

• Recommend tools and establish governance mechanisms to ensure the compliance to various performance and scalability standards recommended

• Work independently with internal and external stakeholders of manufacturing business group for application performance and scalability requirements

• Seamlessly work across cloud and on-premises platforms and provide best fit scalability and performance recommendations across different solution options (ex: platform as a service, scaling up and down, monitoring)

Qualifications:

• Have past experience in architecting and delivering large scale solutions supporting huge volume of users and data

• Have strong understating of performance and scalability end to end of an application lifecycle including infrastructure

• Experience in architecting highly scalable solutions leveraging different platform services provided by popular cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google)

• Experience in measuring, optimizing and recommending best-fit solutions for different non-functional parameters of the application like throughput, response time, RPO, RTO etc.,

• Strong experience in defining monitoring metrics and cloud application scale up and scale down recommendations for optimal resource consumption

• Past experience in providing performance test strategies and overseeing implementation of performance testing and providing recommendations for improving application performance

• Ability to quickly identify potential and existing bottlenecks across different layers of an application/solution

• Past experience with various performance monitoring tools and ability to recommend best fit tool for a given solution scenario

• Experience in tools like Load Runner, VSTS, App Dynamics, NewRelic, SOASTA, Blazemeter

• Have contributed to the industry standards boards or critically acclaimed for the contributions in application performance and scalability space

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate and present, communicate solutions to implementation teams and governance boards for approval

• Experience/Exposure in product development lifecycle would be an added advantage
