Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Job Description:

Installs, tests and troubleshoots new and existing data and telephone circuits to include category cabling (cat 5 and cat 6) fiber optic cabling and outside plant cabling for wireless access points, cameras, end user equipment, servers, and other network related equipment.

Will use specialized testing equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose network, fiber optic and telephone trouble

Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair as necessary wireless access points, cameras and other network related equipment.

Will work with and monitor the work of outside telecommunication contractor

Prepares documentation in a variety of electronic and written formats (daily paperwork log, time and material sheets, and circuit activation sheets).

Qualifications:

Requirements:

At least 2 years of structured cabling installation experience in a commercial or campus environment.

Current unrestricted State of Tennessee driver's license.

Must be able to climb ladders and be at heights of up to 50ft and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand, kneel, crawl and walk for extended periods of time

Must be able to work in all weather condition

Must be able to use hand tools to include power tools and specialty tool

Must be able to differentiate between color

Must have basic computer skill

Must be willing to work overtime as needed to include nights, weekends and holidays as well as be on a rotating on-call schedule

Must have good customer services skills and communication skill

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions, policies and procedures and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
