- Administering preventive maintenance practices to ensure high runtimes on all measurement, electrical and instrumentation equipment are completed in accordance with schedules.
- Developing and implementing strategies for sustainable measurement and I&E reliability.
- Providing leadership for I&E technical support for both maintenance and operations personnel
- Lead and participate in root cause failure analyses.
- Maintaining proper documentation and timely execution of purchase orders, invoice approvals, email responses, meeting invites and employee performance reviews.
- Analyzing problems quickly and accurately to implement effective courses of corrective action.
- Preparing scope documents, exhibits, budgets, specifications, schedules, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Preparing operational and project budgets.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of all maintenance of volumetric, temperature, and pressure measurement equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), electrical and mechanical systems and equipment such as motors, pumps, switches, pneumatic controls and end devices, and related input and output devices.
- Developing programs to lower the cost of maintenance and improve runtime.
- Conducting and / or attending daily meetings and scheduling of activities with team members and contractors.
- Working with Electrical engineer and field staff to coordinate projects.
- Training foreman in management skills, decision making, safety and environmental.
- Attending and orchestrating safety meetings, holding safety stand downs.
- Assisting in the design, engineering and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
- Maintaining effective communications, provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including facility operations and supervision, engineering, supply chain, other I&E employees, clerical staff, and contractors.
- Coordinating operations with other personnel as required
- Accomplishing job responsibilities and duties in accordance with Vital's core values.
- Being accountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment; ensuring job duties are carried out in a safe manner, with due regard for the environment and in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Staying abreast of changing technology through training opportunities, contact with suppliers of equipment manufacturers and networking with others in the field.
- 10 years or more experience on applicable control systems equipment or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience.
- 7 years or more of supervision experience.
- Master Electrician license a plus.
- Ability to develop and maintain operational and project budgets.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees across the organization.
- Direct others in troubleshooting breakdowns and control systems, diagnosing faults, components, end devices and other electronic equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance.
- Computer skills with working knowledge of Word Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to provide facility design feedback and create solutions to complex problems using measurement, automation, and electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and associated safety requirements.
- Must possess knowledge and experience using Ignition SCADA or equivalent HMI software.
- Knowledge in SCADA protocols, various types of instrumentation, radio, WAN and Lan communications, PLC programming and PID loop tuning, VFDs and motors.
- Familiarity with local and national electrical codes.

COMPENSATION:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed outdoors where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases is common. The noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, and trucks and like equipment. Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured gas, oil, water, electricity, and waste lines and under all weather conditions. May work in areas where H2S is present.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate the computer keyboard at moderate to advanced skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying 50-to-75-pound objects such as tools, equipment work operations. Work involves standing and walking most of the time but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods sometimes over rough terrain.
