Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer at SoftWriters, you will be a key part of the motor that drives our product line to success. You will have the opportunity to build expertise across a variety of technology solutions in the development of web applications, mobile applications, embedded systems, integrations with robotic systems, and more. You will collaborate day-to-day with a team of engineering, quality assurance, and product management professionals in the design and development of software solutions.

Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
• Perform advanced software development tasks
o Collaborate with architects and senior team members in the implementation of innovative architecture and design patterns
o Provide mentorship to team members in the delivery of clear, concise, and tested code
• Execute agile processes providing an excellent team experience
o Facilitate collaboration amongst the team in managing sprint execution and ensuring plan completion
o Actively participate in, when appropriate lead, planning sessions
o Consistently deliver business value within estimated timelines
o Focus on increasing the level of quality with each completed story
• Demonstrate an innovative sprit in continuously improving yourself, others, and our culture
o Be energized by developing your skillset

• Explore new languages, technologies, and techniques

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Science, related discipline, or 6+ years of equivalent experience
• Demonstrated advanced software application design and development knowledge
• A solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proven ability to take ownership of, and follow through on, escalated incidents requiring leadership attention until resolution is achieved
• Experience with SOLID principles, IOC / DI, ORM, and unit testing
• Experience with multi-threading and concurrency in applications
• Experience designing and developing relational databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
• Experience with one or more source control systems (Git, TFS, TortoiseSVN, etc.)
• Strong customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Experience and creativity in resolving software application and work-flow process problems
• Experience developing with languages and technologies in the Microsoft tech stack such as:
o .Net Framework and/or .Net Core (C#)
o WPF, MVVM
o Razor, Blazor
o Entity Framework
o SQL Server
• Experience with web and/or mobile development:
o JavaScript, TypeScript
o Angular, React, React Native
o Electron
o Native iOS, Android
o CSS, SASS, LESS
• Experience in the setup and management of Continuous Integration pipelines
• Experience in Database performance analysis and tuning
• Experience with Cloud technologies
• Familiarity with HIPPA requirements involving data storage and transmission
• Solid understanding of governance and security frameworks to resolve data ownership, sharing, and access rights within a federated environment

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and technical judgement
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
