POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide high-quality projects and services to our internal and external stakeholders that align with Chesapeake Employers' Insurance's purpose and goals. The IT Delivery Manager will manage the entire service delivery lifecycle, from project initiation to implementation and ongoing support, with a strong focus on keeping quality standards high.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of service delivery professionals, including business analysts, project managers, technical specialists, and quality assurance testers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (customer service, underwriting, claims) and external vendors to define project requirements, ensure alignment with business goals, and identify potential quality risks.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, budgets, and quality assurance (QA) strategies for assigned projects.
- Manage project risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues, including those related to quality.
- Monitor project progress and performance against established metrics, reporting on progress, deviations, and quality assurance findings to stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of new insurance products and services, ensuring a smooth and efficient rollout that meets all quality standards.
- Manage the delivery of ongoing support services for existing insurance products and services, maintaining a focus on continuous quality improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and quality assurance practices.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and established quality control procedures.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment within your team, emphasizing a culture of quality.

- Actively supports the company strategies and department goals by accomplishing tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in managing people and projects, preferably in the IT area.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in service delivery management, project management, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing and delivering complex IT projects, within the insurance industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, services, operations, and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent project management skills, including experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and incorporating QA processes.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective quality assurance strategies for IT projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana) and quality assurance testing tools.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities are required, which includes close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range: $107,130/yr - $171,410/yr depending on experience
