Expected pay for this position is $37.99 - $44.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Speech Language Pathologist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech, language, cognition and communication functions through evaluation and treatment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Respective state temporary license with the supervision of a Licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months
  • Respective state temporary license while completing Clinical Fellowship Year or respective state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Other skills/knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Communicates effectively with other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
  • Analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests, conduct swallowing evaluations, evaluate patients' capabilities, develop treatment plans and monitor patients' progress.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1 year experience in hospital or Home Care Setting
