[Monday-Friday 30-40 hours per wk (Summer) [SUMMARY OF POSITION: [Under the general supervision of the OST Site Supervisor, OST Mentors provide leadership, supervision, and engagement [opportunities for youth in the program. OST Mentors are responsible for creating a safe, fun, liberatory learning environment [for all youth. OST Mentors promote success in the program, at school, at home, and in the community. [QUALIFICATIONS [? [Must pass the Michigan Child Care Background Check & Fingerprinting and Sports Engine Background Check [? [Must provide negative TB Test Results [? [Must be at least 16 year of age [(Must provide work permit) [? [Must possess valid Michigan Driver's License, Michigan ID (16 and under signed waiver from parent/guardian) [? [Must have reliable transportation to and from the program site. [? [Must be able to travel among our centers when needed [? [High School Diploma or GED preferred (unless currently enrolled in a HS or GED program with proof of enrollment and [timeline of completion) [? [Must complete 26 hours of professional development annually [? [Must be willing to obtain Mi-YDA Certification or Credential [?
