Job Overview

As a Room Attendant at Courtyard by Marriott you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. This position plays a vital role in creating a comfortable, welcoming environment that meets Marriott's high standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms in a timely manner according to hotel standards
  • Make beds, change linens, and replenish the room supplies
  • Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and clean bathroom fixtures
  • Restock amenities including toiletries, coffee supplies, and minibar items
  • Report any maintenance issues or room deficiencies
  • Respond to guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Maintain the security of guest rooms and hotel property
  • Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items
  • Assist with laundry tasks as needed
  • Support team members during busy periods
Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties throughout shift
  • Ability to push/pull housekeeping carts and operate cleaning equipment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Working Conditions
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required throughout shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals (with proper training and PPE)
  • Weekend and holiday availability required
  • Typical shifts range from 8am-4:30pm, but may vary
