Description
The Information Technology (IT) Coordinator will troubleshoot and maintain the organizations technology systems. The coordinator will plan, coordinate, and direct computer-related activities by determining the technology needs of the organization and making hardware- and software-related decisions to meet those needs.
Requirements
MAJOR DUTIES AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Inclusive, but not limited to):
- Evaluates current technology use and needs of the organization and recommends software and hardware improvements.
- Maintains network systems, installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related network software and applications.
- Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.
- Communicates with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems.
- Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal network & program function and minimal downtime.
- Create and maintain device log of all company computers, tablets, printers, and other technology related equipment.
- Maintains email and intranet services, adding and removing users and accounts.
- Remains current on advances in technology.
- Assists in project implementation and/or other IT related tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Post secondary education, trade, vocational, apprenticeship, or other equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
- Excellent workstation and network troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Able to interact well at various levels of the organization, as well as work with a wide variety of people and personality types.
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work with multiple projects concurrently and prioritize workload.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Self-starter with ability to work well independently and as a member of team.
- Positive and professional attitude and demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of organization proprietary information.
- Valid Iowa State Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
