Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description

Location: Full Time, Remote Position, New York or New Jersey residency preferred.

Start date is flexible and can be adjusted as needed.

Intro:

Castle Ventures is a cyber security consulting firm specializing is data protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cybersecurity, a basic understanding of software development concepts, and an understanding of fundamental Windows security infrastructure concepts. Success is determined interest in learning new things and demonstrating cleverness in responding to and solving technical challenges. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Applicant qualifications:

- Strong interest in cybersecurity

- Ability to learn independently and work on a team

- Basic understanding of coding concepts with a willingness to learn new languages

- Experience with Windows

- Familiarity with Window system administration, specifically enterprise level file system access controls

- Ability to quickly learn new technologies

- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

- 0 – 2 years of experience

Applicant duties:

- Assisting with Varonis daily management tasks

- Automating routine tasks to streamline technical and business processes

- Working as part of a small team to complete client facing projects

- Assist in investigations

- Administrating a Windows environment

- Supporting customer ticketing system, managing, and responding to tickets
