Keville Enterprises, Inc., an established Construction Management and Inspection firm is seeking qualified candidates with a minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience (aviation experience preferred) to fill a Project Engineer position at Reagan National Airport. Work location will be in Virginia.

PROJECT ENGINEER

The Project Engineer will report and act under the direction of the Project Manager. Work shall include coordination of submittal process, monitoring of design progress and costs; verification of Project specifications and related documents; coordination of progress payments; monitoring of quality assurance; monitoring of safety compliance; preparation of relevant materials; and representation at periodic Project meetings; providing expert opinions on special cases, assist in review of submittals and documents.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Distribute and review all submittals/deliverables.
  2. Provide miscellaneous minor Project estimating services.
  3. Provide estimating, budgeting, scope development, and change order support to the client.
  4. Perform document control through established software and databases.
  5. Write letters/memos, meeting minutes, and develop written reports as needed.
  6. Assist in the preparation of concurrence forms, memos and subconsultants, and any related documents.
  7. Generate reports to the client on the Projects status.
  8. Compile and maintain a computer based digital photo record of construction progress and activities.
  9. Ensure construction is performed in accordance with standards and OSHA safety practices. Issue notices, warnings and/or Stop-Work Orders to the Design-Builder in the event that safety regulations are violated.
Education and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management/related degree plus experience in the Engineering/Construction Field with an emphasis in document control and scope development.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in construction projects; airport construction experience preferred.
  3. Ability to read and comprehend electrical, communication, and civil/structural engineering plans, technical specifications, and other construction related documents such as work plans/procedures/shop drawings.
  4. Strong project coordination and organizational skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Strong ability to work within a "paperless" environment as all Project documentation will be maintained and stored in electronic media.

OTHER: Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy.
