Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources. Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility. Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives. Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance as necessary. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: HS Diploma or GED.
