The Logistics Analyst is responsible for ensuring supply chain efficiency by collecting and analyzing logistics data, identifying bottlenecks and updating databases to ensure safe and efficient product flow. The logistics Analyst develops, evaluates, and revises logistics policies, while continuously improving disruptions to maintain optimal inventory levels and keep products moving smoothly, while proactively researching and addressing potential supply chain issues.
This role typical reports to the Manager, Global Logistics Operations and is based in our Jonesboro Distribution Center.
- 75%: Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect logistics data to assess each step in the supply chain.
• Analyze performance metrics related to transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
• Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Keep track of the product flow process from materials acquisition to final delivery.
• Update databases with logistics data.
• Develop, evaluate, and revise logistics policies, procedures, and plans.
• Ensure that products are received, stored, and shipped safely and efficiently.
• Oversee warehouses to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Address routine and unexpected disruptions in the supply chain to keep products moving.
• Research supply chain issues to identify potential problems and preemptively address them.
• Manage the facility's yard and make live updates.
• Observe housekeeping, safety and C-TPAT compliance in assigned area of responsibility.
- 25%: Support Functions
• Support the Manager in all duties as assigned including all operational areas of the Distribution Center.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF: (REQUIREMENTS SECTION) Must have:
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics policies and regulations. Preferred skills and experience:
- High School Diploma (required); Bachelor's degree or certificate in logistics, business, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related role is preferred. Physical and work demands:
- Available to work in a multi-shift distribution environment, including flexible scheduling for different shifts and extended hours as needed.
- Engage in continuous physical exertion, such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting objects up to fifty pounds, scanning with RF equipment and working in varying temperatures for shifts up to 12 hours long.
- Flexibility to adhere to management decisions regarding holiday schedules, consecutive workdays beyond standard hours, and blackout periods for vacation or personal time.
