Department Specific Job Details: Dayton Children’s is a special place for families who are dealing with a child’s diagnosis of cancer or a blood disorder. Hematologic oncology combines two fields of medicine: hematology, which is the study of the blood, and oncology, the study of cancer. A few conditions this unit treats: cancer, sickle cell disease, and hemophilia.
