Position: Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
General Description: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across assigned equipment and facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, heating and cooling systems, and other essential building systems. The Technician will ensure that all facility equipment and systems are functioning optimally to support ongoing operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of 45 rooftop units (RTUs) with capacities of 10, 18, and 30 tons.
- Clean drains as needed and replace filters according to maintenance schedules.
- Inspect heater cords and extension cords to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Conduct daily rooftop inspections to verify that all RTUs are functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with external contractors for repairs and servicing of RTUs.
- Assist in maintaining the irrigation systems in all rooms.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all Dosatrons.
- Support the installation of new equipment arriving at the facility.
- Assist in the maintenance of building operations, including mechanical, low voltage, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Perform both minor and major repairs as necessary.
- Monitor building equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning.
- Inspect and identify any equipment or machines requiring repairs.
- Troubleshoot issues and determine the necessary repairs.
- Perform general repair tasks as required.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance staff.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Experience in performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Related maintenance experience is preferred.
