Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional experienced in Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) to join our dynamic team. The Cloud FinOps SME will assist customer teams in understanding the FinOps methodology and provide guidance on how to mature the organization in the FinOps capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops and champions cloud infrastructure cost management best practices
• Partners with the agencies finance, procurement, & engineering teams to help measure and manage their cloud infrastructure costs. Be proficient with public cloud technology tools to help drive FinOps practices and methodologies.
• Builds analytical models to provide data-driven guidance on cloud infrastructure spend.
• Creates utilization and forecasting models to predict future outcomes of cloud infrastructure spend and usage.
• Creates and maintains internal documentation on FinOps and cost optimization processes.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to cloud financial management.

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Finance, or a related field; or work experience.
• US Citizen. Must have a DoD secret clearance 
• 3+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, GCP and/or Oracle cloud services.
• 2+ years of experience working in a DoD or other Federal Government environment.
• Deep understanding of CSP FinOps tools.
• Experience with relational databases, data extraction, and data analysis tools.
• Understanding of Federal Government IT procurement processes.
• Understanding of industry best practices related to Cloud resource tagging and tagging enforcement thru automation.
• Experience as a Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) professional in a similar role.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively cooperate with individuals at all levels.
• Experience working in Air Force IT environment

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is [$120K- $135K].

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full-time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
