WORK SCHEDULE: 12-month

SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Support Salary Schedule, Grade G
  • $19.89
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Dispatches drivers, keeps the automated routing system current and performs related clerical duties in support of departmental operations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Dispatches by radio or in person district buses, cars, and trucks
  • Keeps routing system up to date
  • Assists Chief Clerk with the maintenance of records and files, and prepares materials for State and special reports
  • Maintains CDL and required qualifications to drive buses, as needed
  • Performs related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS

A. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of word/data processing and procedures;
  • Ability to operate a 2-way radio
  • Possession of an Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License
  • Must meet all Arizona School Bus Driver requirements
  • Must be able to meet requirements of Arizona Department of Public Safety Physical Performance Test
  • Two years of previous experience driving a school bus is desired
  • Arizona Class B CDL is required to serve as backup driver

EVALUATION PROCEDURE: In accordance with provisions specified in Governing Board policy;
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of Transportation
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
