POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the immediate supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for delivering all orders on a timely basis as determined by customer needs and company scheduling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Locate deliveries at bakery and load the truck in proper sequence
  2. Check orders and short sheets for any missing items
  3. Rotate merchandise, make invoice and credit tickets, and handle COD's
  4. Responsible for opening up the bakery and turning the alarm system off
  5. Responsible for properly maintaining the truck or van's air pressure in tires, and checking the gas, oil, and water level
  6. Check tire wear daily.
  7. Check items that need service or repair on a daily basis.
  8. Report any problems to an immediate supervisor.
Check with the unit office supervisor to see if needed to assist with other duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Experience
    • Ability to complete company training
    • Operating and maintaining a 25,500 lbs GVW truck or less
  3. Scheduling
    • Available to work any day of the week, 2:00AM - 10:30AM, delivery route is island wide
    • Schedule may vary.
  4. Desired Skills:
    • Ability to communicate and follow directions
    • Must be familiar with island town and roads
  5. Desired Skills:
    • Dependable and trustworthy
    • Works well with colleagues, team player
  6. Physical Ability:
    • Lift 40 - 50 lbs.
    • Push a rack of products up to 200 - 300 lbs.
  7. Mental Ability:
    • Understand the facts of the working environment and position
    • Learn and retain the knowledge provided about the environment, equipment and position
    • Quickly compute basic math calculations
  8. Environmental Conditions:
    • Task duties are performed both indoors and outdoors.

  • Valid Hawaii Driver's License
    • Type 3 License - 15,000 lbs GVW, Type 4 License - 25,000 lbs GVW\
  • Valid Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDL)

  • Valid TB Clearance
    • This food handling position requires a TB Clearance by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health
